Fashion Director's Favourites:
What denim fits did you see trending in fashion this fall?
"Baggy Vintage Inspired Denim. This is the season for jeans, whether it's straight or wide, it's all about longer inseams and loose silhouettes."
Katrina's go-to for Fall fashion is The Meridian Jean from Apiece Apart. This loose fitting jean is inspired by the brand's bestselling Meridian Pant, featuring a cool wide leg and a flattering high waist. It's perfectly broken in like an iconic vintage jean. It'll become softer with each wear while maintaining the character and look of a well-loved jean.
What were your top layering choices this winter?
"Statement Outerwear. A must-have for a city like Vancouver. I like to invest in a good quality statement piece every Fall. My pick for this season is a long wool coat - they were the biggest trend across designers on runways for F/W24."
Another great option to help you stand out this Fall is the Wax Duffle from the Barbour X Ganni collaboration. Capturing Barbour's British countryside heritage and the essence of GANNI's home of Copenhagen, the Barbour x GANNI collaboration celebrates exaggerated features and core wardrobe staples for the perfect marrying of styles.
This coat was made for the ever-changing Vancouver weather. Barbour's most iconic outerwear choice, the waxed jacket is a classic choice for every wardrobe. Designed to take you from country to coast to city and beyond, this piece perfectly blends Barbour's traditional heritage with contemporary design. Offering durability, style and practicality, the wax duffle is an everyday essential that is always in fashion all year round.
What are you wearing to stay cozy this winter?
"Novelty Knits. From boucle to cable to space dye-there, is no shortage of interesting knits to elevate any basic look."
If a statement knit is on your list this season, look no further than BARE Knitwear's Roan Wrap Cardigan in Saddle. Perfect as transitional outerwear or an everyday layer, the Roan Wrap Cardigan offers a relaxed fit designed for effortless layering. Knit from a luxurious blend of Suri alpaca and Peruvian Pima cotton, it has a substantial feel and elegant drape. Featuring an adjustable tie closure, side pockets and a distinctive rib pattern, this fashion-forward piece is the perfect transitional staple that takes you from the office to a night out on the town!
What's your favourite fashion trend making a comeback?
"Prep Era. I'm loving the throwback to fashion-forward prep school styles with polos, loafers and vests."
Take the first step in entering your prep era withCitizens of Humanity's Fino Cropped Shirt. This shirt has a classic, boxy fit and is made from ultra-lightweight breathable cotton. It features a light blue fabric with pinstripe detailing, making it a perfect choice for any casual occasion.
What inspired the buy this season?
"French Feeling. Hits of red and stripes, paired with mini skirts and ballet flats make for the perfect French inspired look this Fall."
Katrina's top pick that lends a certain je ne sais quoi to your fashion sense, is The Great's Crochet Collar Pullover. This slightly shrunken pullover sweater is knit in a textured and super soft alpaca blend that creates a lofty and warm feel. It features a prominent knit collar that is adorned with a delicate contrast crochet scallop trim. The set-in sleeves and easy fit make this sweater perfect for layering or pairing with precious red ballet flats and a mini skirt.
