A cold wash on a gentle cycle using a natural detergent is recommended, followed by hang drying. Hand washing is also a good option. If delicates are not being separated, a laundry bag should be used to help protect the fabric from damage.

To reduce the need for frequent washing, airing or freezing garments and spot cleaning stains is recommended. Airing helps eliminate odours and can be done by leaving clothing outside overnight. Freezing can help remove smells, mildew, and moths, and is most effective when done for 6 to 12 hours.
